Lean technology, in tune.

The marks, colours, type, sound, and motion of All Tuner Labs: what each one is, when to use it, and where to get it. Everything here is served from this domain at a stable address.

Colour

Four colours, no more. Two grounds, one ink, one accent. Tap a swatch to copy its hex.

Proportion

Most of any surface is ground. Wine is rare on purpose: the mark, a link, one call to action, a highlighted word. When everything is Wine, nothing is.

Wine Bright exists only for text, links, and icons on dark grounds, where Wine itself is too dark to read (5.7:1 on Raisin, against 1.2:1 for Wine). It is never used for the logo.

Taupe on Smoke

Decoration only, never text

WCAG 2 contrast ratios. Taupe on a light ground falls below the 4.5:1 text minimum, so small secondary text uses Raisin at 70% (5.3:1) instead. Wine text on Raisin (1.2:1) never works; the mark is a large shape and is the one exception.

Type

Two pairs, never mixed. One speaks for All Tuner Labs; the other dresses the products.

The company voice · Fraunces + Instrument Sans

For alltuner.com, this page, articles, announcements, proposals, and decks: wherever All Tuner Labs speaks as itself.

AaDisplay

Smoothing rough edges

Fraunces

  • Headlines, titles, pull quotes, and big numbers.
  • Light (300) at large sizes; Regular (400) under 28px.
  • Never under 20px, never in all caps, never for interface.
  • Italic, sparingly, for the one word that matters.
AaText

Software that is quiet, careful, and built to last. This is the voice of running text and interface.

Instrument Sans

  • Body copy, interface, captions, buttons, and forms.
  • Regular (400) for text, Medium (500) for emphasis and labels, Semibold (600) rarely.
  • 16 to 18px body at 1.5 to 1.6 line height.
  • Small caps labels: 11 to 12px, uppercase, 0.18em tracking.

The product family · Figtree + JetBrains Mono

For project sites, documentation, READMEs, tools, and text on video. Figtree is also the typeface of the logo itself, so it is what family names are set in.

AaSans

VIBETUNER

Figtree

  • Bold (700) for project names, wordmarks, and video titles.
  • Regular (400) and Medium (500) for docs and product interface.
  • Lower thirds and captions on video: Medium, never under 1/30 of the frame height.
  • Variable, weights 300 to 900. SIL Open Font License.
AaMono

uvx install · #5B2333

JetBrains Mono

  • Code, commands, file names, hex values, and data.
  • Regular (400) for code, Semibold (600) for emphasis.
  • Set a step smaller than the surrounding text.
  • Also fine in the company voice, for the same jobs.

The family

Every project wears the same lockup: the Wine mark, its name in Figtree Bold, and a by All Tuner Labs line, drawn to the same measurements every time.

Ident

Our logo is a tuning fork, so our ident is that fork, struck: a light tap, then the strike, ringing A440 and its fifth over a low body.

On screen, the fork rings, the disc spreads out from its dot, and the full logo settles before collapsing into a fading point (3.7 s). The mark-only version is made for square frames, avatars, and sign-offs (3.05 s). Open videos and podcasts with it; don't loop it or cut it short.

Sound · stereo

2.9 s

The default. The tap comes from the left, the chord opens wide, and an echo bounces across. Still right on a single speaker.

Sound · mono

2.9 s

The same notes at the same loudness, centred: for podcasts, phone speakers, and anything mono.

48 kHz · 24-bit · −14 LUFS · −1 dBTP · video 1080p, 60 fps, H.264

Other sizes, frame rates, and editing masters (ProRes, including a transparent version to lay over footage) are available on request.

Avatar

The ident's ta-DUM, silent and on repeat, for profiles that take animated avatars.

Animated avatar on light
Animated avatar on dark

A light tap, the strike, the dot swelling, then stillness, looping every four seconds without a seam. The disc fills 80% of the square, so circular crops keep a margin. Use GIF where nothing else is accepted, WebP where it is, and MP4 for services that take video avatars.

On-screen bug

The mark alone on a transparent background, to sit in the corner of our videos. Two shapes: the full disc, or just the fork for a lighter touch.

Placement

Bottom right, 5% in from the right and bottom edges, the disc 8% of the frame height (86px at 1080p). The fork sits where it would inside the disc.

Colour and opacity

White at 60 to 80% over most footage. Wine over light, quiet scenes. Black only over very bright ones. The fork can go a little stronger, since it covers less.

Overlays

Full-frame PNGs with the bug already in place: drop one on a 1080p or 4K timeline and it lines up.

Every file is at full opacity; set it in the editor. Smaller PNGs (256 and 512 px) sit next to the 1024 px ones: swap the number in the file name.

The kit

Everything else, in one place.
